"A place worth living"

During my early 20’s was when I first began working in the city of Placentia which before that time was just another city I knew very little if nothing at all about. After a year or two of making friends and taking the time to drive around the area on my lunch breaks I became very fond of this city. I had several friends that lived along both the North and South end of Kraemer Blvd. The neighborhoods I visited were all single family homes, well kept, beautifully manicured and the streets were always clean. During the day it was nice to see the neighbors be very friendly and at night the area was just as quiet and serene which added to the level of safety families mist feel living here. I also enjoy the fact that while it has the wholesome neighborhood appeal, Placentia is also full of places to head to for shopping, dining and relaxation. I liked going to the Crossroads Shopping Center and the Placentia Town Center Shopping Center located on Kraemer Blvd. and Yorba Linda Blvd. quite often. If and when I should be ready to settle down and start a family I would definitely choose the city of Placentia as one of my top 5 cities I’d love to live in.

"Safe and Caring City"

Situated in the northern portion of the Orange County, the city of Placentia aims to be safe and good for families to live in, with great public services and one that encourages highest standards of community life. Their government aims to optimize their resources and provide quality and honest service to their people.

The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District operates the public schools in the city of Placentia. The Placentia-Linda Hospital, St Jude Medical Center and the Anaheim Memorial Medical Center provide for the medical needs of the people of Placentia.

Placentia is also home to the Sunnycrest Chalet, a family owned senior and assisted living center. This is run by a team of very dedicated and loving people who care for each and every one living in the center. This center is away from the hustle of the main town by close enough in proximity to stores and shopping centers.

Placentia is well known for their Historic George Key Ranch. This ranch was one of the biggest ranches that had the original Sunkist Groves. At this ranch, one could find a museum filled with farming equipment and other mementos that relate to growing oranges. At this ranch, one could find an orange grove that is still operating.

"A great place to raise a family"

Placentia is how you picture middle America to be. During rush hour, there are cars constantly zipping around tree lined streets (and I said zipping for a reason - unless you get stuck at the train tracks, traffic in Placentia keeps a steady pace). At night, everyone seems to be tucked in safe at home and the streets are quiet and deserted.

Although it shares many of the same characteristics of nearby Yorba Linda, Placentia seems to have more of the "every man" vibe than Yorba Linda.

If you are looking for something a little bit more exciting to do besides hang out with your family, you will need to take a road trip to nearby Fullerton (for the bars) or Brea (for the shopping and non-stop entertainment options that city has). However, Placentia does have a Farmers’ Market every Saturday morning and their local schools offer adult education classes to further your career or just for fun!

The weather here doesn't get as hot as it can in Yorba Linda and Brea, although, in the summer, without the ocean breeze, it does get a little toasty (high 90s)! The city council is very involved in "green" programs and uses the internet to communicate to their residents. It is a great town!
