"Quiet small town - if you blink you miss it"

The town of Martin is a dot on the map 90 miles northeast of Atlanta, Georgia. Most people have more livestock for neighbors than people. If you are looking for city comfort then you need to go somewhere else, but if you are looking to visit rural America, then Martin is a reality. The soft southern drawl of the towns residents is comforting. The local post office lady waves as she puts the flag up when you pass by. Historic downtown (about 1 mile long) is lined with lighted snowflakes, and scenery at Christmas time. The annual fall fair is also along this mile long strip and a great time to get to know the townspeople. Town Hall meetings are held in the Martin Community Center which is also host to many family reunions and Chicken-Que fund raisers. No stoplights here, just a caution light in the middle of town. Park on the side of the road and enjoy a picnic in our town gazebo. Shop at the One Stop Baby shop for great bargains, or browse the antique store. Remember, the speed limit is only 35, but you may need to slow down more because sometimes the mayors dog is out for a stroll!
Martin is centrally located, 12 miles from family shopping centers, 7 miles from interstate 85, 25 miles to the nearest mall, and 65 miles from the Mall of Georgia. Enjoy small town life withe everything you need close enough to reach, but far enough not to pollute our beautiful city!
