"Lovely Rivertown with quaint Main Street"

If you want small town living but work in the cities, Hudson is a great place to consider. An easy commute across the river, you can look forward to coming home to a quiet area with plenty to offer. Barkers is great for burgers, and Pier 500 for happy hour sunsets. Drive a few miles and you are in the middle of the rolling fields of Wisconsin.
Hudson has a great school district, plentiful housing, and it's shopping options keep getting better and better!
The main street offers great shops and restaurants, and don't miss out on the riverfront park. For theatre lovers, Phipps is the place to be!
Take a drive and visit Hudson, Wisconsin. You won't be disappointed!

  • Excellent Dining Options

"Hudson, WI-Outside the Hustle & Bustle, with an Easy Commute!"

Hudson, WI is a beautiful city on the eastern bank of the St. Croix River. Located just 20 minutes from downtown St. Paul, MN, this small town turned outer-tier suburb is an easy commute. Hudson provides all the amenities of a larger city, while still maintaining the character of it's small town roots. Some of it's best attributes include:

- Excellent schools and youth programs;

- Growing economy, with several companies headquartered here;

- A solid commitment to the arts (the Phipps Theater, art galleries);

- Vibrant, historic downtown with eclectic shopping and dining options;

- Waterfront parks and marinas take advantage of the scenic St. Croix River;

- Large hospital/medical center;

- Recreation! Close to lakes, rivers, State Parks, Afton Alps Skiing, Badlands Snow Tubing, and more!

- More bang for your real estate buck than on the MN side of the river;

- A variety of housing options in every price point, from charming historical homes to new construction, in town or on acreage.
Pros
  • Affordable Real Estate
  • Vibrant Economy
  • Easy Twin Cities Access
  • Small Town Feel With Strong Youth Programs
  • St. Croix River

John and Becky Durham PRO Often Becky and I help inbound relocation clients who are looking for a little elbow space between neighbors to consider Hudson, WI as one can purchase homes as a general rule with more land for less in Hudson and the surrounding area than in MN.

"Best of Both Worlds"

Hudson is a beautiful river town located on the east banks of the St.Croix River, a national scenic river way, which helps to preserve its natural beauty. Hudson straddles I-94 and is only 15 minutes from St. Paul, making it a wonderful bedroom community and an easy commute to work, shopping or entertainment opportunities offered in the Metro area and "the sun is always at your back" with your daily commute.

Comprised of the City of Hudson, Village of North Hudson and 3 surrounding Townships of Troy to the south, Hudson to the east, and St. Joseph to the north. Hudson offers tremendous recreational opportunities with the St. Croix and Willow Rivers, Bass & Perch lakes, Willow River State Park, Perch Lake County Park, numerous city and township parks, golf courses, bike, snowmobile and cross country skiing trails, just to name a few. The Hudson Community offers a diverse range of housing opportunities from apartments, condos and town-homes to single family homes that are new or historic and in town or on acreage.

The community of Hudson also offers excellent schools, ranking amongst the highest in the state, very strong youth program support, whether it be in athletics, music, or the arts, through local booster type associations, the Phipps Center for the Arts and more.

The community of Hudson boasts an old world charm with it's historic downtown which offers shopping, dining and professional office locations, while "the hill" offers big box shopping, franchise restaurants, car dealerships, and more. This combination offers the best of the small town "main-street" feel along with a bit of a suburban atmosphere on the hill. Match this, with the small town feel, located only minutes from a major metropolitan area like the Twin Cities makes it truly the "Best of Both Worlds" in more ways than one.

I encourage you to give Hudson a look, you won't be disappointed.
