"A Historic Legend where the filming of "The Boggy Creek Monster" took place"

Nestled amongst tall, thick pines, this small town caused a great upstir with it's reports of the "Boggy Creek Monster". Sightings have been reported along the Boggy Creek River of a Bigfoot that terrorized this peaceful community located along Highway 75 South between Texarkana, Arkansas and Shreveport, Louisiana. The "Boggy Creek Monster" can be viewed in such films as "The Legend of Boggy Creek" and "The Return of the Boggy Creek Monster". This "Monster" killed small animals and frightened homeowners in the complete surrounding area.

A mostly rural town, boasts of T.K's Home Cooking, Allen's Burger Center, and Monster Mart (a unique convenience store where one can pick up souveniers of the great "Boggy Creek Monster". Bayous and swamps are abundant, fishing is extreme along the Mercer Bayou, with daily reports of seeing Alligators and Snapping Turtles.

This homely little town is quaint and mostly serene, with pleasant people and a great school system. You can view the typical "grandfather" scene outside of Jerry's (another convenience store with a country feel) as they sit and rock on their rockers, smoking cigars, drinking coffee and swapping tales with each other.

If you are ever visiting Shreveport, Texarkana or Longview......the extra mile or two might be worth the scenic and historic small town.
