"Great Small Town with Big Town Growth"

For over 30 years I have had the pleasure of seeing Cambridge grow. Centrally located between North Branch and Princeton on the Rum River with easy commuting to Hwy 169, Hwy 35, and 47, all major commuting roads from the Twin City are to the Northern area of Minnesota.

Cambridge has seen growth in the residential area, along with Big Town stores coming in. Fleet Farm just opened its doors and joined the area along side, Kohls, Cub Foods, Office Max, Target, Walmart, Menards, Caribou, and Applebees. Its nice being able to do your shopping close to home.

Cambridge also has a great school system with both public and private that has recently added additional buildings. There is even the Cambridge branch of the Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
Pros
  • Schools and College
  • Located on Banks of Rum River
  • Small town feel

"A great community with an "up north" feel"

I love Cambridge. I have lived here since I was in sixth grade and it didn't take long after college for my husband and I to move back. I thought at first that we would be too far away from the cities, but I have come to love our "up north" feel and have found that being 45 minutes north of the Twin Cities is a good thing. Our community is relatively quiet, yet there are definitely things to do...if you get out and do them! We offer a lot of outdoor activities, like the up coming Snow Flake Parade on November 23rd and the candle light ski that will be coming up this winter. We also have a lot indoor activities, such as school plays and musicals to go to. "Bye Bye Birdie" is being performed by our High School students at the PAC November 21st through the 24th. We are blessed with a lot of local talent, such as painters, potters and musicians. Many of whom can be seen throughout the year at different events. We have a great City Center Market, an organic market that also caters to our local talent and our local farmer's. Cambridge has a few different city and neighborhood parks and is located on the Rum River. As we come into the winter months and our many lakes freeze over, this will be a great time to get out and enjoy outside activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, and sledding. With so many things to do right in this community one can certainly choose to stay close to home this fall and winter!
