"On Seaman Avenue"

Seaman Avenue is a nice street near Fort Tyron Park. It is filled with small businesses and a quaint atmosphere. The views of the river are very nice and this area is well trafficked, but not terribly loud. It’s a nice oasis from the hecticness of the midtown area. I really like this neighborhood and think it should be considered on a move to this section of town.

"On Seaman Avenue..."

This street connects Inwood Hill Park with Columbia University Beekman Park . You won’t find too many students here, but it is a more collegiate street, which means that it is quieter, the buildings are better up kept, and the rents are higher. I don’t think this street is very well accessible being that it is about9 blocks from the nearest Metro, but at this point in Manhattan , anything is better than having to cross water to get home!

"Very pleasant residential street"

Seaman Avenue has a lot of older apartment buildings, none of which are very high; high ceilings and larger sized rooms than a lot of newer NYC buildings. Very close to Inwood Hill Park, which is a pleasant park with a lot of amenities (and dog runs!), make it a good destination. Not generally a commercial street, though there are some delis/restaurants that do deliver (Amy's, a very good Chinese restaurant) is off 207th). Also not particularly noisy as traffic is not high volume.
