What's the "cheaper" areas in Scarsdale?

Edgewood has most of the least expensive houses in town but the other 4 elementary school areas in Scarsdale also have affordable houses in the same price range. Edgewood is very desirable as it is more affordable for young families moving to the area, very "neighborhoody" (kids playing in the yards and hanging out together) and close to downtown Scarsdale. There is no school bus for elementary school in Edgewood as everyone is within walking distance to the school which makes for a tight-knit community. I have had many Clients over the years that have wanted to move to very large homes..they just don't want to leave Edgewood. Also, every elementary school participates in sport activities together, so when they get into the Middle School (6-8), they already know a lot of the kids. Hope this is helpful

(To get a free bus to school in Scarsdale you need to live 1.5 miles from the school.) Edgewood families are proud to be living in Edgewood, rave about their elementary school and the Edgewood kids stay close friends beyond elementary school.
