"Its a decent street to live on."
Santa Rosa Drive is an okay street in San Jose. Sometimes it is hard to find parking but the neighbors are nice and keep the noise level to a minimum. The noisiest time of the week is on weekends but usually only during the day. Once in a while someone will have a party on the weekend but the loud music doesn’t go past 10pm. The neighbors say hi to each other but pretty much keep to themselves. Unfortunately that I know of there has been three hit and runs on parked cars. My radio was stolen from my car in 2005. I personally don’t feel unsafe walking around my neighborhood in the afternoons or at night. The only thing I don’t like is that if there are guys outside in a group they will stare and sometimes comment. Some of the comments I have heard are “hey girl can I get your number or you look good” nothing worse. Some of the public services less then half a mile away are the public library, park with tennis courts and baseball field that is lighted at night, and a teen center. Safeway and Albertsons are five minutes away and they always keep their store clean and well stocked. Bally’s gym is about four miles distance. Hellyer park is one mile away which is nice for picnics, walks on the paved trail, bicycle rides with the family. There are two major freeways less then two miles away freeway 87 and 101. Santa Rosa Drive is less then 10 miles away from Oakridge and Eastridge Mall.
