Which place in the city of San Francisco will be better to live in?

I"m going to work at 300 Montgomery Street in San Francisco. I'm going with my husband and two kids.10 and 12 years old.Which place in the city will be better to live in due to public transportation, schools?

Anywhere near a BART stop will be super convenient. BART within the city costs only $1.85 per trip right now, but a Muni ride is $2.25. There are monthly passes you can get for $80 that would cover both, so that might make it moot economics-wise, but I think BART is also a lot faster, generally, than Muni.

Don't know anything about schools.
