Free Concerts

Every week in the summer, Stern Grove offers a free concert in the park on Sunday afternoon. It is a picnic/music/drinking/sunshine fest that happens in this beautiful park, and the acts that come in are actually pretty good! It's probably more of an adult crowd, but it's also a Sunday afternoon so it's not to say that kids can't go....

I've been to Stern Grove and it's great. We brought a picnic basket and a blanket and made an afternoon of it. If you want a table, you need to get there super early (not sure if you can reserve them). If the weather is nice, it's a great way to spend the afternoon. It does get crowded so you at least need to show up a half hour before hand at the latest.

Last time I went, it was HOT, like, even for places that aren't San Francisco. Is that normal, or is it usually cool and foggy like the rest of the city?
