"Quiet, clean, friendly but lively street in nice neighborhood close to everything"

Roseclair street has been my home for 20 years and in that time it's grown into an impressive street in a great, constantly improving part of Dorchester. Nearly everyone in the neighborhood takes pride in the upkeep and appearance of their homes and the general neighborhood. We have a strong neighborhood association that works hard to get city funding pumped into the neighborhood, with the Edward Everett Square pear art being a great recent example of our ability to improve the area.

There's tons and tons of stores, restaurants, schools, parks, and public transportation near by. Being located near the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue, Boston Street and Columbia Road gives the street a location close to downtown Boston but far enough away to feature relatively rents and home prices at a great value. The street is within walking distance of the South Bay Center, which features a 24 hour Stop & Shop super market, Best Buy, Home Depot, Target, Circuit City, Bed Bath & Beyond, Office Max, Marshall's, Applebee's and Olive Garden.

Within a 2 street block there are three elementary schools, the Avenue Grille, Real Tacos, and 224 Restaurant, a church, and a few small parks. There's also two gas stations, multiple convenience stores, the Dot Bar and the Banshee. We're also within a 10-15 minute walk of the huge, huge Joe Moakley Park, Carson Beach, the JFK library, the University of Massachusetts at Boston, and the JFK-Umass red line and commuter rail MBTA stop, and Upham's Corner, which features a branch for nearly every big bank, restaurants, shops and another commuter rail station.

The neighborhood has tons and tons of friendly people who like to walk their dogs and chat with their neighbors or meet up at any of the many restaurants and bars in the area. There's not a huge night life in the area but there's enough of one for the local college students to have something to do nearby while also keeping the actual street nice and quiet. Downtown Boston is also within 15 minutes by bicycle, bus, train, or car. The street is a few blocks from Interstate 93, providing quick and easy access to the South Shore, Downtown Boston and areas North of Boston.

Overall, this street is a hidden gem in the City of Boston. I've yet to meet anyone whose lived here who has not been happy with the neighborhood over the past ten years. Compared to the city and suburbs, rents and home prices are a bargain for the amazing location and friendly and lively neighborhood.
