They are very close: Schubas, yes, its a music venue too, but the food is amazing, try the mac n cheese, catch a good show. Southport Grocer for brunch.

I agree with the two suggestions above, and would also like to add a couple of others. Thai Linda on Roscoe is one of my favorites--it's quiet and delicious. If you don't mind going slightly out of the neighborhood, Cafe Orchid is a great Turkish place on Lincoln/Addision. All in all, Roscoe has everything from pub food to fine dining.

There's Hot Woks Cool Sushi, which is a really good Sushi/Thai restaurant, with fast service and great food. You could do a lot worse. There's also a Lush wine store if you get take out and want a good bottle of wine with your meal.
if sushi isn't your thing, there's the Piazza Bella Trattoria, which is a little bit more upscale, but it is good Italian food. Pretty good food options overall though.
