"it's All About The Park (this review is dedicated to our Labrador)"
When we are getting close to this neighborhood, I always think of Dr. Seuss. BV Park is the nucleus and crown jewel of this area and you can see it long before you arrive. Sticking up above the house tops is an unruly tuft of trees that mark the top of this hilly park. Our black lab mix, Gershwin, loves this park. When he was two, we often took him up for dog playdates with my teaching colleague, Tony, his husband Dan, and their black lab mix, Jack. Buena Vista, to me, is mostly a residential neighborhood. We love to walk the super steep blocks: great exercise for dogs and their people. And the park keeps getting better and better. Tony said they have a strong local association that has privately raised most of the park renovation funds through homeowners' donations. On weekend afternoons, you can sense a little of this vibe. People we pass actually make eye contact and say hello. And if you encounter another dog owner, the dogs are always given wide berth to sniff and greet. If we lived in the city, Buena Vista would be one of the first places I would consider moving to.

"Near the Randall Junior Museum!"
Roosevelt Way begins at a street transition from Masonic Avenue and to Alpine Terrace. Roosevelt Way is between Buena Vista Park and Corona Heights Park. One main attraction you will find around Roosevelt Way is that of Randall Junior Museum—I recommend families visit this museum. Roosevelt Way is on a slight slant/hill and consists mainly of houses of various styles, trees, and cars. The 37 Muni bus also runs through Roosevelt Way. State Street Playground is nearby which is great for the children. Another park is the Duboce Park, where there is a field for dogs and play structures for children. Next to Duboce Park is the California Pacific Medical Center – Davies Campus.

"Near two parks, a playground and a museum!"
Buena Vista Terrace resides between Buena Vista Avenue East and Roosevelt Way. The street is on a hill, or has a slant. The road doesn’t seem to have a lot, or in fact, any pot-holes. The houses on this street seem to be somewhat, like suburban homes. There are a few places that you should visit, for those who live in this street that don’t know about these places yet, is Buena Vista Park which is right next to Buena Vista Terrace. And there is also the Randall Junior Museum which holds many activities for both children and adults. Surrounding Randall Junior Museum is the States Street Playground and Corona Heights Park. Further out near Duboce Avenue is the Duboce Park, a playground for children, and a dog park. There are a few transportation methods, which include the 37 Muni bus on Buena Vista Terrace, the 24 on Castro Street, and the N train on Duboce Avenue.
