Since ValleyGirlToni posted in December, I would say one would be hard pressed to find anything in the $300k range. An average price now seems to be around $500k. Three listings in the past several weeks were more than $1 million. The Portola is becoming more desirable. A new private elementary school, Alta Vista, opened this school year and the San Francisco School continues to attract families. E.R. Taylor, a public elementary school with good reviews is a neighborhood favorite.

The home price range in Portola, San Francisco is relatively moderate.

On the low end, you rarely get a home for under $300 K and about a quarter of homes are between $300K and $425K.

The middle range goes from $425 to $600, that is the meaty center of the bell shaped curve where about half the homes reside.

On the high end, homes go from $600 to $750K with only about 10% reaching higher than this.

So, a pretty homogenous real-estate environment which matches the fairly similar homes in Portola.
