I'm not so sure about that. Statistically, you wouldn't think so, because it's not a high-population town and only about a quarter of the population are single/never married.
I would say that my personal experience backs this up, as a lot of the single adults I've met (not for dating, just in everyday encounters) in PV are college-aged kids. I can't say I know too many single adult professionals living around here. You'd have a better chance in Poughkeepsie than here.
