"Beautiful beach, fun shops"
After a day on the beach, plan to stroll and look in the shops. It isn't just the usual assortment of crappy souveneirs and cheap sunglasses. There are some cute shops like The Bead Shop and a couple of good wine shops, where you can pick up a bottle for your return to the hotel room. As far as eating, the choices are not so great. Unless you are into Hooters, get off the boardwalk and get on over to Heminway's Grill. Try the hurricane shrimp appetizer. It is terrific, as are the entrees.
