"If Pascagoula was a human body part it would be an armpit!"
A city that is flanked by shipyards and an oil refinery is not a pretty place to live.I wouldn't live here unless I was seeking section 8 housing.Good thing? Its close to New Orleans(About 2 hours).City government is run by a good old boy/girl club who are indefferent to any of the cities problems. Two restaurants in town that would probably make Zagats-Scrantons and Preservation Grill all the others are either chains or peddle the same old stuff.Up one of the rivers (Escatawpa) their is a Menhaden (fish) processing plant. The smell from this plant causes both Pascagoula and the surrounding towns to smell awful making the air quality even worse considering the output from Chevron and 1st Chemical are along with it.If moving to or visiting the coast check out Biloxi,Gulfport or best Ocean Springs.Don't waste your time seeing Pascagoula unless your into heavy industry and foul odors.
