"Parus Point, a friendly, neighborly little cul-de-sac with a great view!"

Parus Point is one of four cul-de-sacs off Kestrel Street on the Salmon River Rd/Kestrel St ridge in Rancho Penasquitos and overlooks Canyon View Elementary School, part of the Poway Unified School District. There are a number of parks nearby, including Ridgewood Park, Views West Park, Hilltop Park, and Canyonside Community Park adjoining the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve which stretches all the way to Sorrento Valley and I-805 on the West. There are several shopping plazas nearby, including Rancho Penasquitos Plaza with a Vons, Rite-Aid, CVS Pharmacy, numerous fast-food restaurants, and a couple of gas stations. A police station, fire station, and library are located nearby. There are also numerous retail establishments along Rancho Penasquitos Blvd. and Carmel Mountain Road. There is easy access to SR-56 and I-15.
