"Little Italy of North Boston"
Parmenter Street runs through the heart of the Little Italy area of the North End of Boston. This is a great neighborhood to explore on foot and discover new little authentic Italian shops and eateries. It is a very pleasant neighborhood to walk in. I enjoyed a great hazelnut/chocolate gelato at Gelateria, at the corner of Parmenter St. and Hanover St. There is no shortage of things to see and do, and the people are very friendly. Restaurant proprietors will practically pull you into their restaurants to have you try their food, but in a hearty, family kind of way, not a pushy way.
