"Great for People who want to live in LA, but cannot afford it."

There are very few places where it gets violent, but other than that, no complaints about crime. Depending on where you love, the beach is LITERALLY a 5 minute drive away! The weather is great; it's basically summer and spring all around. As for schooling, the high schools are pretty average, but most have great spirit, and they actually CARE about your child's education! Not very much traffic in the morning, but the evening is a different story. The traffic is not that bad; you're only stuck in it for about 10-15 minutes at most.
Pros
  • Schools actually care
  • Beach is right at your fingertips
  • Easy to get around without so much traffic
Cons
  • Crime in certain parts

"Great suburban area"

This city is a great suburb of Los Angeles, only about 50 miles north. This means that commuting is easy along the California 101 freeway, with often little traffic. The geography is pretty flat with a lot of residential area and a large stretch of open farmland. The beach is right in your backyard (especially if you live on a beach house) and there are tons of parks and open areas. There is also a large selection of shopping, especially at the new Esplanade shopping center, a large open strip mall. Living isn't horribly expensive now, and the neighborhoods are all very peaceful and friendly. With the beach nearby and a beautiful view of the mountains and other scenery nearby, this city is a prime example of a beautiful coastal farming city. It blends this natural beauty with strong industrial capabilities to create a large job market for industrial and farming jobs.
