NW Barnes Rd. is a vital connection from NW Portland, OR to Beaverton, OR. This street connect NW Burnside in downtown Portland to HWY 217 in Beaverton. A short trip towards Portland leads to a great walking trail to the Pittock Mansion with connections to Washington Park and the Portland Zoo. This street can be a time saver when connection the two cities with out going through HWY 26 with the tunnel and connecting to HWY 217. Traffic congestion can happen since many parts of the street are 2-3 lanes total. This area has many apartment complexes and large houses as well as town houses.
