Cost of Living?

I am being relocated to the area. I'll be working in Norristown but would rather live in an area more conducive of my lifestyle. I'm 26, single, straight and male. No Libs SEEMS like a good place to call home for a guy like me. I am concerned with people saying the cost of living is high. I currently live in a 1 bedroom 950 sq. ft. apartment. How much would something similar run me in this neighborhood?

A 950 sq ft, one bedroom apartment in Northern Liberties will cost you between $1200-$1700 a month, depending on exact location and amenities. A lot of the apartments in No Libs aren't one bedrooms and are instead row homes or industrial style lofts, so if you don't mind having a roommate, you could get your monthly rent down by splitting a place with another person.

If you're working on Norristown, other options for places to live would be Manayunk (great for people ages 23-30), Conshohocken, or East Falls. These are all along the Septa R5 regional rail, so you could take the train to work.
