The North Salem School District has a well-developed sports program that offers softball, baseball, tennis, lacrosse, cross country, track and field, winter track, wrestling and ice hockey. The middle school has a drama club, an art club, a boys book club, a girls book club, a light/sound club, a literary magazine, a yearbook committee, a game club that provides snacks and a technology education club. The high school has an art club, a drama club, an environmental club, a GSA club to promote understanding and tolerance of all, a literary and artistic magazine, a math club, a math honor society, a mock trial team, a model United Nations club, MSG Varsity Challenge which is a quiz show of sorts, a Musical club which is responsbile for producing a musical for the school and the community, a National Honor Society, an ornithology Club (to study birds),the North Salem International Club, Peer Leadership, a school newspaper, a video broadcasting club and a club responsible for putting together a creative yearbook.
