"North Park - San Diego's Hotspot"
San Diego, California
Neighborhood: North Park
Zipcode: 92104
North Park is located approximately 4 miles from Downtown San Diego.
The primary cross-streets for North Park are 30th Street and University Avenue.
This neighborhood has everything you need and it’s all within walking distance. The Library is located at 31st Street and North Park Way. The Post Office is located at Grim Street and North Park Way. There is a hardware store, two pharmacies, two large grocery stores conveniently located, and numerous restaurants. In addition to the large grocery stores, there are many liquor stores and small shops. North Park has vastly improved from ten years ago because of urban development dollars that flowed into the community. Many of the old sidewalks have been replaced, and business fronts have been renovated to look more modern. There are many excellent restaurants in North Park. A hotspot for breakfast is the Mission Café on University Avenue just West of 30th street by approximately four blocks. There is a steak and burger restaurant named “Western Sizzlin Steakburger”. It’s been there forever. It has fantastic burgers and other items hot off the grill at affordable prices. Ranchos is a Mexican restaurant on 30th street that has a unique menu. My favorite at this establishment is the tres enchiladas. They have seafood at this restaurant as well. . A few other restaurants in the neighborhood are The Old Mill, Hawthorne’s, Urban Solstice, The Linkery, just to name a few. There is plenty of parking on the streets and there is also parking available at the new parking garage on the corner of 30th and North Park Way. This neighborhood is hoppin’ on the weekends.

"Mellow urban canyon living"
Boundary Street in North Park is a little-known and very quiet neighborhood that used to be the eastern boundary of the City of San Diego. Hence the name. Surrounded by urban canyons on three sides, our street seems remote from the city and is full of songbirds, hawks, rabbits, squirrels, lizards, and in the winter, raccoons and coyotes. Yet it is close enough to downtown that if you want to attend a Padres game or the symphony you can drive ten minutes on surface streets and you’re there. Because Boundary Street is very long and dead-ends, we have little non-local vehicular traffic.
