North 5th St, St. Charles

I have lived in the St. Charles, MO. area for over 18 years and I have never become tired of visiting Main Street. There truly is something for everyone. One of the many attractions, especially for out of town visitors, is the vast quantity and quality of antique and collectible shops. This is quite fitting as the entire area is itself historic. Most of the buildings have plaques commemorating their history. The quaint cobblestone streets add to the districts old world charm. At one time this area was blocked to traffic however it is allowed now. Personally I like to park at one end of the “Strip” and walk from there. This isn’t a place you’d want to get in and out of the car to go from place to place. You have to actually be on foot to feel the mood of the area, smell the wonderful aromas and see all the delights. Make sure to put this area on the top of your list when coming to visit!
