The most solid advice to give on South Street is to come if you're a tourist, but avoid it until the summer. South Street is now mostly a mall without any real attractions - the main dining spot in the area is, after all, a Pizzeria Uno. Not exactly classic New York right there. So wait for the summ...

South Street: the tourist spot

with a sea port around the corner this places is a tourist attraction and is visited by families. so if you are planning out a day out with your children this is a place where which can think off as the sea port is really beautiful and the places has some beautiful views.

The kids will love the old ships.

South St. in lower Manhattan which is home to the South Street Seaport is always a fun spot to bring the kids especially for a day of maritime and police museums and shopping an dinning.
The seaport dates back to the 1600's.
