Turkish Restaurants in NYC

Having returned from a trip to Istanbul and the Aegean Coast in September, I'm always craving good, real Turkish food - not just the oily kebabs but the stewed aubergines and other delicious Bosphorus dishes. Does NYC have any good Turkish restaurants? Anyone have recommendations for me? I've heard good things about

@ajadedidealist I have been there for a friends birthday dinner. All of us at the dinner ordered different entrees and then tasted each other's dishes. The Adana Kebab, the Spicy Beyti and the Lahmacun were all substantial servings and tasted quite good. Some of the other good Turkish restaurants in the city include Turkish Kitchen on 3rd Avenue between 27th and 28th Streets and The excellent Turkish Grill in Sunnyside in Queens ( very easily accessible via the Q32 bus which can be got on 59th street between 2nd and 3rd avenues just outside the Katagiri &Co Japanese grocery store.

I heard there was a Turkish place that I had just opened on Park Avenue South - anyone got any information about that? Is it supposed to be good? Thanks for the suggestion, @uptowngirl. There was one very special meal in Istanbul that I've been longing to recreate (along with a few I'm glad are safely in the past)
