"Don't Confuse it with Napa Street!"
Unlike the nearby Napa Street, Napa Road is actually the road that you take to get to Napa. This means it is far less downtown and far more wine country. This is probably one of the best streets to bike on if you want to do a wine tour, with both Fichtenberg and Gundlach Bundschu right there. The homes are lovely suburban houses that seem to be lacking the farm-esque feeling of Sebastopol and Western County, and the prestigious affluence of Silicon Valley.
Rows and rows of vineyards and grapevines are the most visible indicating factor of the area, making this street scenic and quintessential without getting too far out of town. The sunshine is abundant in the spring and summer, and the hillside views, like the rest of Sonoma, are stunning.
Granted, I had great weather and a great wine buzz when I visited here, so all of my Sonoma reviews are a little bit biased.
