Murray Hill is a upper middle class area for the most part, so the apartments are quite nice. But, it doesn't have much of a neighborhood feel. The majority of the buildings are of the skyscraper variety and there isn't much in the way of trees or green. The part that touches Madison Square Park is nice, energy-wise, but the rest of the neighborhood is just eh as far as vibe, restuarant options and bar scene. It's pretty sleepy and pretty ugly in most parts, in my opinion.
