It's pretty safe, for the most part. I find the area east of 1st Avenue to be a little creepy. But, that's because there's really no street traffic and I get creeped out on silent streets. You shouldnt have a problem living here, though. Just keep in mind that it's not the most nightlife oriented area, so the streets are pretty quiet late at night which makes crime a little easier to happen.
