Mount Greenwood is a predominately Irish neighborhood, with a new influx of African-Americans, which make up about two-thirds of the population now.

There is a great abundance of wonderful Irish Pubs to visit - two notable ones are McDuffy's and Hinky Dinks Pub.

In addition to the Irish pubs there are several wonderful parks to visit.

Next door to Mount Greenwood is Morgan Park - which also offers a lot of the same things as Mt. Greenwood. In addition if you go over to Morgan Park you can visit the Beverly Arts Center, Iglehart House (which is one of oldest standing structures in the city), and the Beverly/Morgan Railroad District which is a wonderful restored train station.
