"Historic Mordecai "
Mordecai is a great neighborhood with narrow tree-lined streets and historic bungalows. Just one drive down this street makes you want to live there. Neighbors sit on their front porches and the sidewalks make walking very safe.
Houses were built anywhere from the 20's to the 40's and many have been renovated, but you can still find a few to fix up. I saw a report the other day that said the average annual appreciation for Mordecai was over 10%/year.
From Mordecai you can walk to Seaboard Station, a nice little community with an independent grocery store, restaurants, ACE Hardware, Gym, wine shop, and other little shops.
