Found this website that acts as a thorough guide to lunch options in midtown, and I'd been meaning to post it somewhere on this site. This seems like the perfect place. Voila. everything you ever needed to know about having lunch in Midtown:

My favorite restaurant in NYC (well, one of them) is Trattoria dell'Arte on 57th and 7th - the one with all the "body part" art (everything from oversized noses to breasts hanging on the wall in marble. My grandmother and I go weekly when I'm in town - have for almost twenty years! - the food is phenomenal, especially the antipasto bar and seafood pastas (and the free chocolates/cookies you get with the check), and the service is extraordinarily friendly, especially for regulars. It's quite a magnet for artsy types - I've spotted Goldie Hawn and Mark Handler there on occasion.

I really don't have a favorite restaurant in the city. I just go to whatever interests me at the time.

Anyone been to Stardust Diner, the one that looks like a subway car on the outside, on Broadway? I love the singing waiters.. they are REALLY good and so is the food.

Yeah, I remember Stardust Diner. I was there once. What a cool place. I believe I had a turkey burger deluxe. They serve good food there.

Oh, I didn't even see Eating in Translation, it's pretty cool too. yeah, I've been saving that midtown lunch blog for in case I ever get a desk job up there.
