"Great all around place to live, work, or play"
Meyer Road is one of those nice, tucked away streets that lets you forget that you're smack in the middle of the suburban sprawl. I lived there for a year and it’s one of my favorite Amherst areas. It has more of a traditional neighborhood feeling, where the homes are unique, not planned. It’s quiet and safe to walk along (although there are few sidewalks, so you have to walk on the street in the winter, which isn’t ideal). You’re close to all of the Amherst amenities (UB, Boulevard Mall, Sweet Home School District schools, etc., and numerous restaurants, shops, and stores). There’s also a 2-building apartment complex, Boulevard Towers, which is a very well-kept complex which seems to attract all ages and people from diverse backgrounds. I'd recommend it for everyone who wants to be close to the city, but not downtown.
