"noisy, high crime, poor architecture, empty lots."
mermaid ave runs parallel with surf ave in brooklyns coney island area. its dirty, high drug activity , the homes , buildings, and stores are run down. and who knows what the city was thinking when they decided to build those ugly looking housing developments there on prime water front property back in the 1960's. i dont travel too often to this area because theres no need to. private investors are attempting to turn the area around with new development, but this is one of those areas that will never change.
