"The Marinas at Alum Creek., Lewis Center, Ohio"
Mostly quiet neighborhood in Lewis Center, OH. Located in Berlin Township, Southern Delaware County, this is consitenly rated one of the best areas in the country in terms of growth and habitility. Majority of homes built between 1995 - 2002. Mandatory dues of $170/yr for homeowners association to take care of common areas.
Pros: School system is one of the best in Central Ohio, Neighborhood backs up to Alum Creek State Park, large lots, Proximity to Polaris Shopping Mall, City of Delaware 10 minuts away, City of Columbus 20 minutes away, some neighborhood activities by homeowners association, large green spaces owned by homeowners association, New hospital being built less than 4 miles away, Proximity to both Rt-23 and I-71 for travelers - especially good if you travel North often, Clean streets, relatively quiet
Cons: Taxes, traffic on South Old State Street can be brutal at rush hour - main connector to Columbus, area will be congested in a few years - many new developments in the planning stages, some school funding issues will probably mean more taxes in future, Only part time local government, fire station/EMS not manned 24/7 (Orange Township FD, located 3 miles away, covers during not duty hours), some excessive speeding down street at times,
