New York City in the 70's

Have always been told that NYC in the 70's was a real grotty place but these pictures paint a different picture don't you think?

I just looked all the pictures. Very interesting. I took note of the clothing and hair styles. The clothing is not too much different than today, but the hair styles were.

I love pictures like this! It's so interesting to see what people walked a certain street every day before you did.

Indeed, @uraniumfish! I always envision NYC in black and white, somehow. Kind of like that Woody Allen film, Manhattan!

@Everybosy: What appeals to me is the way people looked and the way the streets looked. Compare the streets to today. You may find quite a difference.
