I’m new to the area, any recommendations for a restaurant for a party about 15 people?

There are several restaurants in Locust Valley that are great for a group of 15: The Basil Leaf Café, Barney's and The Brass Rail (which were already mentioned) are great choices, but there is also The Locust Valley Inn and Meridian Kitchen.

The restaurant that comes to mind is The Basil Leaf Cafe, http://thebasilleafrestaurant.com/, which can accomodate parties of 15 or more easily since they have private accomodations for larger gatherings. The restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine and is a popular dining spot.

The Basil Leaf Cafe is great for parties or for a quick bite! The food is consistent and the service is excellent. For a truly exceptional evening, I would suggest Barney's. Both restaurants are small with an intimate atmosphere.

Okay. The Brass Rail has fantastic food and has been rated very highly by The New York Times. Barney's is absolutely charming with am amazing menu plus old world charm. Both can accommodate groups but do require reservations, but so does every other really good restaurant in North America.

For a group of that size, Rothmann`s may be a good choice. They have a few private rooms where a group of 15 will surely be welcome! It is primarily a steak restaurant, but, there are many other things on the menu. They have many choices including fish, lamb and even sushi! They are located on Northern Blvd.(25A) in East Norwich.
