It's a cross between stuffy residents and wandering tourists. Because of Central park and the Frick, this area is prime for tourism which is kind of a nuisance to the locals. . . especially the residents. Lenox Hill is about as Upper East Side as it gets. The large majority of the neighborhood is filled with old rich people. There isn't any nightlife, the restaurant scene is minimal and there are few young people milling about. But, the apartments are beautiful, the area is safe and it's really quiet at night -- for New York standards.
