"Tough Place to Live"
Jersey Street is not what you would call a nice place to live. I would not recommend this place for families. The neighborhood is relatively dirty with visible crime on the streets. I have even been solicited by a prostitute on this street during my morning commute! Other than that, this street does offer a lot of affordable housing with mostly apartments, and co-ops.

I have visited many streets and avenues on staten island , and i have to say this is probably the worst street on the island. alot of housing developments align the street which runs from richmond terrace to victory blvd. its a street with high crime, and drugs. lots of run down buildings, homes, dirty streets, abandoned cars. avoid this street at all costs.

true that! i live on winter avenue and trust me i can't stand having to walk down to jersey street just to go to the store. So many hoodrats,people with no class and like you said,project buildings.not the area one would think their children will do okay in.try todt hill or somewhere in those areas.
