Living in the Jeffery Manor neighborhood of Chicago - what's it like?

Living in Jeffery Manor would be okay, though it won't feel much like you're living in the city. It's way down South, and while it's decently nice, it isn't the best neighborhood, and it's pretty boring. I honestly can't think of a particular reason to visit. No real hot spots. It's not too expensive though, so that's a big plus.
