Island Dr, Memphis

Island Drive is located on Mud Island and bosts having beautiful houses on one side and Mud Island park (and the Mississippi River) on the other. There are several apartment complexes on the island as well as tall (usually 3 story) homes with small, but nicely maintained yards. Island Drive runs the length of Mud Island and has very little traffic. Additionally, it is close to downtown while still offering the feeling of being further away from the action. Other than a small shopping area that has a pizza place, some other small shops and a small, but expensive grocery store, there are not many places to either eat out or go shopping. You can expect to pay a premium to live on Island Drive.
