What are the best things about living in Greenburgh, NY?

A friend of mine and his family are looking to move into this area of NY State. If anyone is living in the area (or has lived here or near here, before) can they talk about some of the best things in Greenburgh, please?

Sure thing! Greenburgh has a lot going for itself. It has a wonderful newly constructed modern library, a terrific community center with a pool, a great parks and rec. department, good schools, a strong police department, tons of food choices and quality shopping. It is near several movie theatres including one that shows more artistic flicks, a family entertainment center that has arcade games, air hockey, a batting cage, billiard tables and a cafe. There is a nearby bowling alley. It is close to several live theatres which have family-friendly programming. There are quite a few nice parks in the region, as well as a really cool dog park in neighboring White Plains. The commute to Manhattan is only about 33-35 minutes on an express train from the stations in Hartsdale, Scarsdale or White Plains and there are several very accessible highways around Greenburgh that will take you anywhere you need to go. Greenburgh also has a really cool nature center with kids programs, special events and nature trails. It even hosts birthday parties. You will find a milion great restaurant choices, from family-friendly places to fast food to fine dining establishments.

Having been raised in The Tarrytowns (now known as Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow) I know that Tarrytown is in The Town of Greenburgh ( Sleepy Hollow is in the Town of Mt. Pleasant) Therefore the wonderful River Towns are in your range of possibilities as well. There is lovely Irvington, Dobbs Ferry where I went to school, Hastings on Hudson...
