How safe is the Addison Blue-Line station at nighttime?

I am thinking about moving to the area and the L-station I would have to take from school would be the Addison Blue-Line Station. I was wondering how safe the station and the walk home would be because I have heard about muggings and etc in the area, but maybe I'm just paranoid.

Also, how safe would the ride be at night, when coming from the Loop?

a bit sketchy. You can wit inside the station until the bus comes. The app I use to know when trains/buses arrive is called buster.
