How will I find the parking in the Inwood neighborhood in New York City if I move there?

Street parking shouldn't be much of a problem in Inwood. The only thing to worry about is theft by leaving your car on the street overnight. Most people I know that keep a car in the city rent out space in a garage (they're all over the city) for around $500 / month. But, I'm sure you can find a cheaper option that far north.
