"Good Street. Good Neighborhood. Good Livin'"
Overall, the area we live in is relatively quite and the people in the neighborhood are friendly and fun. Kids are always having a good time on the street and majority of neighbors are respectful of one another. Plenty of shopping/retail choices around the immediate area, close proximity to major roadway for commuters, but prices for local retail are higher compared to other locations around the area. But, prices are cheaper compared to more Northern Virginia areas such as Arlington County.
If you're single it's probably not the place to be if you're looking for close night-life and parties. The area is more geared to middle-class, upper-middle class families and less focus on the singles environment. Although there are plenty of well-off single people in the area due to it's overall high-level of incomes.
For those that are single, or just like to look, there are many attractive men and women in the area. So although there's not a lot of singles in the area, singles that do live here are certainly not going to have a problem meeting someone they find attractive.
Not a lot of noise in the area other than the typical traffic from the local street and the periodic train that goes by a few times a day about a mile away. Kids love the train though.
Because the area is mostly made of commuters there is a lot of traffic especially in the morning from about 6 AM - 8:30 AM and 3 PM - 7 PM. If you have an early workshift then you'll be fine...still some traffic but it moves at a relatively good pace. A lot of local construction happening on expanding major roadways and opening up traffic congestion that will be completed in 2008 (3 years ahead of schedule thanks to local politicians). New developments and new retails establishments are always being built.
