"One way street that's close to the action"

Howard is great, it runs one way North to South and if you are visiting it is close to lots of attractions. The Metreon is a block away , there's shopping at Westfield Centre, the InterContinental Hotel, Yerba Buena and the Moscone Center. It's also easy to get on and off the freeway from here.
Pros
  • Close to lots of attractions
Cons
  • Can be sketchy at night

"The one way street"

Howard street is a one way street. Sometimes it can be really hard to get around. Like most down town streets you got your dumb drivers so you have to watch out. It is also a wide street and has four lanes of moving traffic. Parking is decent depending on what time of day you park or go out. There are a lot of bums in the area.

"Not too much to do on howard Street, but the places that are here are worth it."

Though spread out, there are some great places to visit on Howard street. Cafe Annalita offers some excellent deserts, as well as friendly service. Nine restaurant offers arguably the greatest Thai food in the west, if not the united states. The chieftain irish pub offers great drink specials on fridays,as well as some of the most friendly employees around, who are all apparently Irish themselves. If you find yourself on howard street, I highly recommend that you try one of these great places.
