"Decent street behind a main Crosstown thouroughfare "
Holmes Street begins one block east of McDonald Street and runs approximately one mile west, where it ends at an angled street named Sarena. This street runs east and west, directly behind West Warren Avenue, a main street that covers the whole city of Detroit east side to west side.
The I-94 freeway is near this street & Holmes Street is strictly residential with large two story homes that date back into the early 1900's.
I lived on this street back in the 80's and it was a relatively quiet area then.
Not a bad street to raise a family as the homes are quite spacious.
