"A somewhat busy street"

Holloway Avenue is a street that runs through Merced Heights, Oceanview, and Park Merced. This street is used by commuters who like to take local roads to get to the bigger streets such as Junipero Sierra Boulevard and Ocean Avenue. The only things other than houses on this street are a sushi bar and a market. On the Merced Heights side of Holloway Avenue, the street servers kind of like a border between the suburban style homes where they are separate from the typical San Francisco homes that touch one another. Holloway Avenue in Park Merced runs through some student apartments for SFSU.

"Big Houses-Expensive Living"

Holloway is always filled with cars during daytime. Driving along this street toward San Francisco State University, one would find that there are rarely any stop signs to stop one’s momentum. Parking spaces are available on both side of the street. It is when Holloway meets Junipero Serra that there are street lights. Big houses can be seen as one walks past their fenced yards. Bikers as well as joggers often use this street as their exercise route. Students walk along this path throughout the day from seven in the morning to seven at night. Pedestrians are often seen walking alone, emphasizing the overall safety level of Holloway.

"A nice residential street near Ocean"

Holloway Ave. is located in the Ingleside District. It is one block away from Ocean Ave. It is a pretty quiet street and not too busy. It is a residential street mostly and has some nice 2 story houses. This street is relatively safe most of the time. It is close to many businesses and stores located on Ocean Ave. It is aslo near CAT high school and St. Emydius church. Not too far away is the Oceanview Rec center. Overall this street would be a nice place to live because it is close to many things.

"Great for College Students"

Holloway intersects 19th Avenue where San Francisco State University stands. For this, Holloway is a great place for students to live. In fact, many houses here are rented out to college students. It is a purely residential area, in decent location, close to the freeway and Stonestown Shopping Center. It is quieter as you travel further from 19th Avenue and the college.

"Great residential street - away from all the action but yet very close!"

Holloway Avenue starts on the west end of 19th Avenue, very close to Lake Merced and runs parallel to Ocean Avenue all the way to nearby City College of San Francisco. Although Holloway features some stores and restaurants, the main purpose of Holloway is a residential street.

The street is a lot wider than the usual residential streets. The housing here is very average San Francisco homes but very nice nonetheless! What I like most about Holloway Avenue is that it is away from all the busy action that you would not generally want going on your street, but yet very close to all the action on Ocean Avenue!

Holloway Avenue is the heart of the Ingleside District of San Francisco! And in my opinion, would not be a bad place to live for anyone!
