Harlem, New York City - any areas to avoid?

The further north you go in Harlem, the sketchier it is. I wouldn't really look for a place above 124th if I were you. Not only is transportation bad that far up, but it's just not the safest part of town. The closer to either Central Park or Columbia you are, the better off you'll be.
